The South Carolina AHEC offers Elective Rotations to 4th year medical students from South Carolina as well as to out-of- state students who have completed core clinical training from LCME approved medical schools and accredited schools of osteopathic medicine. These electives focus on multiple specialties and are offered throughout the state. Students are often provided with housing at no cost.

The electives outlined in the table below can be requested any time throughout the senior year; however, the appropriate paperwork MUST be completed before the elective begins. Registration for these courses should be completed and approved through the South Carolina AHEC Program Office.

In addition, current and visiting students must complete the new online OSHA training modules: www.carc.musc.edu/training/modules/osha/.
You will have the opportunity to create your own username and password.   Please print out the certificate and/or send email of completion to cochrak@musc.edu.
