Electronic Health Record
Educational Programs

Recently released federal legislation outlines incentives for eligible providers to adopt and demonstrate meaningful use of electronic health records (EHR). Informing healthcare providers and their staff about these measures in a timely manner is critical.

In partnership with the SC DHHS and others, the South Carolina Area Health Education Consortium will be offering information about the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Programs and steps providers need to consider in order to move their practice or organization toward meaningful use of EHR technology.

In addition to providing educational resources and sponsoring presentations throughout the year, each of the four AHEC Regional Centers will host an EHR conference in the fall of 2010. These half-day conferences will be specifically designed for healthcare providers, administrators, and office staff members who are likely to share health information on the basis of geographic proximity and referral patterns.

These conferences will allow interested participants to become more familiar with the office logistics, infrastructure and interoperability issues that will impact them as a cohort of health care providers and practices.

Making the right decisions about EHR adoption and implementation is important.

Let us help you make
informed choices.
