Ali McMenamin MA
Ali McMenamin is the Director of Communications for the South Carolina AHEC System where she oversees communication strategy, brand implementation, social media and websites. Ali has also served as a grant writer for South Carolina AHEC and has written proposals that have secured more than $2.9 million in agency funding. She has extensive experience in various areas of healthcare and higher education, including mental health and student training settings. Ali initially joined SC AHEC as a continuing education and public relations coordinator, organizing and marketing statewide continuing education and telehealth education initiatives. Ali became Director of Communications in 2016. In this role, she created a new brand identity for SC AHEC and oversaw its rebranding in 2017. She has presented on branding and communication strategy, continuing education projects, and student training initiatives at the National AHEC Organization Conference and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the PRSA Health Academy. Ali received a Master of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in Communications Studies.
