Katherine Chike-Harris DNP,APRN,CPNP,NE
Graduated from August College in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in mathematics; from MUSC in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 2009 with a Masters in Nursing (pediatric focus) and 2011 with a Masters in Nurse Educator and Doctor of Nursing Practice.  Early years were spent as a bench chemist in various research labs, mostly at MUSC.  Returned to college for nursing and since graduating with her MSN has worked in pediatric primary serving the underserved population within a FQHC located in Charleston, SC.  In 2015, accepted a position with the MUSC Center of Telehealth, which allowed expansion of primary care services across the state through school-based telemedicine clinics and began teaching within graduate nursing programs part-time.  Clinical interests include childhood obesity prevention and adolescent primary care. Transitioned to a full-time faculty position at MUSC CON in 2017 while continuing clinical practice within school-based telemedicine clinics.  Currently teaches within the DNP program and is also responsible for the integration of telemedicine education within the graduation nursing curriculum.
