Description: Join members of MUSC’s Student National Pharmaceutical Association and the MUSC College of Pharmacy for a live demonstration of the preparation and use of inhalers dispensed to patients with COPD. The discussion will include details of how and why inhalers are used, ways to maximize dosing, and conditions that negatively impact conditions. Gain insight to the significant counseling points used in the dispensing of inhalers.

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • This session will explore aspects of the pharmacy profession.
  • This session will introduce students to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • This session will introduce students to student and faculty members of the MUSC College of Pharmacy.
  • This session will introduce students to the Student National Pharmacy Association (SNPhA).
