Description: Participants will learn how to ethically develop and manage their professional image online. In addition to learning how to build a professional platform, participants will develop skills to efficiently manage client care through the proper use of technology.

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate forms of technology applications that meet program objectives in human services fields
  • Identify software options that effectively and efficiently meet client needs
  • Discuss online resources available for researching client request and providing client support
  • Use tools such as the CARS Checklist to assess online human services information for credibility, accuracy, reasonableness, and support
  • Identify and discuss various forms of technology
  • Differentiate which applications provide benefits to specific human services functions
  • Evaluate and resolve ethical concerns of online resources provided to clients
