The only private practice Doctor of Audiology based in Florence, SC, Dr. Kirby has been helping the hearing impaired communicate for 27 years. In 2000, she opened her private practice called Lifetime Hearing Services, Inc. She currently owns and manages 3 locations (Florence, Hartsville, and Camden) within her South Carolina region. She employs a team of 10 fantastic individuals. She has been chosen by the world- renown hearing aid company Beltone to be their premier hearing aid dispenser for the Pee Dee region based upon her clinical, professional, personal, and leadership skills. Beltone awarded Dr. Kirby and her team the prestigious Presidents Cup Award for being their best hearing aid office in the nation. Lifetime Hearing has also been awarded the “Best of the Pee Dee” award for the past 6 years.
She was chosen as one of only 9 Audiologists nationwide in 2015 to participate in the Cochlear Provider Network bringing cochlear implant and BAHA activations and programming to her region. Her office is now a worldwide leader in this particular network for assisting patients with these newer technological advancements. Her office is the only office to work with cochlear implant patients in our region.
She was appointed by Governor Carroll Campbell in the 1990’s to the Board of Examiners in Speech, Language and Hearing to help develop new legislation pertaining to the ethical practice of Audiology in the state of SC. She is a current member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), and is a past President of the South Carolina Academy of Audiology (SCAA).
Locally, she has been past President of two separate chapters of Business Network International (BNI) in Florence, helping small businesses in the Florence area network with one another to increase their business profitability.
She has been married to her husband, Ronnie, for 30 years, and they have 2 grown children and a baby granddaughter.
