Lari Gooding MBA
Mr. Gooding has spent his entire 29-year career in the field of rural healthcare. He has served as a healthcare administrator in virtually all types of organizations including rural health clinics, FQHC’s, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospitals. He has extensive experience in hospital administration, physician practice mergers and acquisitions, business development, healthcare facilities construction, physician recruitment, financial and operations management, personnel management, grant management, and strategic planning.
Throughout his career in rural healthcare, Mr. Gooding has worked at the state and national levels serving as an advocate for rural healthcare providers. He previously served as a member of the South Carolina Rural Health Association Board of Directors where he worked closely with rural health clinics and other healthcare providers throughout the state to meet the healthcare needs in rural South Carolina. He currently serves as a member of the South Carolina Hospital Association Board of Directors and the South Carolina Hospital Association’s Regional Leadership Council. He is also a member of the American Hospital Association Rural Health Services Committee. Mr. Gooding attends the National Rural Health Association’s Policy Institute annually in Washington, D.C. where he represents small and rural hospitals.
In addition to his work at the state and national levels, Mr. Gooding has continuously served his community through local board and committee appointments. He is currently a member of the Western Carolina Higher Education Commission, Tri-County Community Foundation Board of Directors, Lowcountry AHEC Board of Directors, and Allendale County First Steps Board of Directors. His prior service includes the Southern Palmetto Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Allendale County Election Commission, and the Hampton County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
