Dr. Tamara Johnson is a native of Greenville, South Carolina, an AHEC alum, and recent recipient of the Rural Provider Incentive Program. She completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University, majoring in Psychology with minors in Dance and Women’s Studies, received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and completed her residency and chief residency at Greenville Hospital System, now Prisma Health- Upstate. Dr. Johnson previously practiced for six years at a federally qualified health center in Spartanburg, SC providing care to the medically underserved. She is currently practicing as a pediatrician in private practice at Parkside Pediatrics in Boiling Springs, SC.
