Cameron Mitchum MSN, RN-BC, CCRN-K

Cameron received her Master of Science in Nursing with a subspecialty in Critical Care from the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Nursing in 1995.  She was employed at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital Authority for more than 32 years in various roles, such as nursing professional development specialist, critical care educator, acute care educator, case manager and hospital supervisor. 

Cameron has presented critical care and nursing professional development topics in-person throughout the United States and Canada for more than 20 years as well as webinars which have been broadcast internationally.

She has been published in The American Journal of Critical Care, Gastroenterology Nursing, and Trendline.  She is a past-editor reviewer for the American Association of Critical Care Nursing’s Procedure Manual and is the author of the nursing quick guide reference, Objectives and Outcomes, now in its second printing.

She is a member of the Association for Nursing Professional Development, the American Nurses’ Association, and the Association of Critical Care Nurses.
