Lilian Peake MD, MPH
Dr. Lilian Peake serves as director of Health Services for the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control.
Prior to joining DHEC, Peake served as the deputy commissioner for Population Health for the
Virginia Department of Health in Richmond, Virginia. While working there
she also held positions as the director of the Office of Family Health
Services and district health director for the Thomas Jefferson Health
District. During her tenure as district health director, she led the
district to become accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board.
Dr. Peake holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins
University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of
Virginia School of Medicine. Prior to obtaining her MPH and MD degrees,
Peake worked in marketing and communications for 10 years.
