Rebecca Christopher MSW, LMSW
Rebecca Christopher graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Social Work with both her Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work with a specialization in Health and Mental Health. Upon her graduation she worked as a coordinator of a grant project funded by the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine to improve rural health as well as recruitment and retention of rural health providers in South Carolina. Rebecca also co-coordinated a grant project focusing on opioids, opioid use disorder (OUD), and medication assisted treatment (MAT) that was funded by the College of Social Work and the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS). Now, Rebecca serves as the Field Education Coordinator at the College of Social Work where she works to place and produce the next generation of social work practitioners. Rebecca also serves as the Field Educator Series Coordinator and as a interprofessional research assistant. In addition to her role within the College, Rebecca's research interests include: rural and behavioral health, substance use, health disparities and education, recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals, and multi- and interprofessional practice, education, and collaboration.
