Lauren Gellar PhD, MS, MCHES
Dr. Lauren Gellar is the Division Director for the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies (HCS) degree program at MUSC. She has been an Associate Professor at MUSC for 4 years. Dr. Gellar has worked extensively with transfer students from the SC technical colleges, helping them reach their goals of completing the Bachelor’s degree and continue on to graduate studies. During this presentation Dr. Gellar will be discussing the Healthcare Studies Bachelor’s degree program. The HCS program is a degree completion program that provides a broad foundation in health care and population health. It prepares students to become informed and engaged health professionals who can think critically, understand health research and evidenced-based practice, lead health care teams, and develop innovative solutions that address diverse populations.
