Presenter Details

Bobby Brazell is a person in long-term recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. He is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, CCAR (Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery) Trainer of Trainers, Family Recovery Coach, Certified ARISE Interventionist, and Founder and Executive Director of Midlands Recovery Center.

He also currently serves as a Board member of The SC Recovery Coalition and Peer Support Commission. After more than 20 years in active addiction, he has a very strong recovery message he shares with those who struggle with substance use disorder while supporting and educating their family members. He is a consultant to medical professionals and helped form the Inpatient Addiction Consult Team (I-ACT) with PRISMA HEALTH.

He is a public figure, motivational speaker and SCAADAC provider of continuing education credits for licensed professionals. He has also served as an expert witness in Opioid Use Disorder for the judicial system. His passion is to educate the public and professionals, so that they may glean knowledge from his lived experience, while erasing the stigma surrounding substance use disorders.
