Dalina C. Rainey MSW, LISW-CP

Dalina Rainey, MSW, LISW-CP graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in (Human Services). She completed a master’s in social work from the University of South Carolina and is a licensed independent social worker in the state of South Carolina. Dalina began her career in Virginia working with adolescents providing therapeutic services to address, anxiety, conduct disorders, depression, and trauma. After relocating to South Carolina, she continued working with adolescents and children who were impacted by adverse childhood experiences. From there, she moved on to provide care to adults living with chronic illnesses. Dalina is currently employed full time with HopeHealth in Orangeburg, SC as a behavioral health provider in the medical clinic. She leads a monthly Ryan White support group for individuals living with HIV, serves on the leadership advisory council as well as four other committees in the agency. Dalina is a certified mental health first aid trainer, and she provides this training to HopeHealth employees free of charge. She began teaching as an adjunct instructor at the University of South Carolina MSW program in N. Charleston in 2018.

Dalina is trained and finds value in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Trauma-Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is passionate about understanding the complex relationship between the brain, genetics, and mental health disorders to provide a unique and tailored plan for each individual.

Dalina is originally from Richmond, Virginia and relocated to Charleston in 2011 with her husband, two children, and the family dog Paisley. Dalina enjoys spending time with her family, karaoke, riding horses, hiking, cooking, baking bread, reading, yoga, and taking spin classes.
