Kisha Gant PharmD, BCACP, BCGP, BCPS
Kisha O’Neal Gant, PharmD, BCACP, BCGP, BCPS is the Director of Pharmacy and PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Director at Slidell Memorial Hospital (SMH). She completed her Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and mathematics at the University of New Orleans. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana, where she also completed a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency. Prior to entering pharmacy school, Dr. Gant was a middle and high school mathematics teacher in Hampton, Virginia. She is also a former Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at Xavier University of Louisiana and Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at SMH.
Kisha is currently a member of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacist (ASHP); American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP); American Pharmacists Association (APhA); American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), where she is a member of the Education Advisory Committee and subgroup leader for the Medication Safety Transitions of Care Workgroup; and Louisiana Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (LSHP), where she serves as the ASHP Delegate. She has also served on various committees at Xavier University of Louisiana, Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans, Slidell Memorial Hospital, and Ochsner Health.
