Michele B. Brown BS, RDH, MPH

Michele Brock Brown, BS, RDH, MPH is a licensed pediatric public health dental hygienist that has a BS degree in Biology/Pre-Dental Concentration from Winthrop University, an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene from York Technical College, and a MPH degree in Health Promotion from Liberty University. Michele is a Program Coordinator and is serving as the Interim Director at SC DHEC Division of Oral Health. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2014 with clinical work experience with school-aged children on school-based mobile dental vans, government assistance dental clinics, and in private practices. Michele has always enjoyed working in the community sector of public health dentistry with children, young adults, and patients with exceptional needs. Michele has volunteered with the non-profit, America’s Tooth Fairy, and currently volunteers with Rock Hill Schools and The Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® program. Michele has been featured in “RDH: E-magazine” giving tips to dental hygienists for managing pediatric patients, and serves as the Secretary of the South Carolina Dental Hygienists’ Association of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. Michele hopes to continue to inform children and their parents in all communities on the importance of oral health care and to be a resource for oral health education and access to care for all.
