I obtained my bachelors of social work from Salem State College in 2000. Ironically, my friends may beg to differ, because I have always had a passion for helping others help themselves throughout life's journey. I also obtained my masters of social work from Salem State now known as Salem State University in 2005. My career path has allowed me to gain access to numerous settings in healthcare. I have gained experience in working with adolescents in residential facilities providing individual, family, and group therapy while managing some of these programs. I spent over 8 years working with hospice and palliative care providing services in the home and facilities. This dynamic role allowed me the opportunity to be a part of the pediatric faculty and team while also managing the Psycho-Social Services Team. I was presented the opportunity to serve on the Ethics Committee of the hospice as well the Ethics Committees of 2 additional hospitals. I am presently working as a medical social worker providing direct care to dialysis patients in several rural and suburban dialysis clinics. I have provided supervision to many students and taught adjunct at Salem State prior to moving to
South Carolina where I enjoy being outside all year round.
