Description
Communities leading health improvement efforts can benefit from using stories to draw out emotions and motivate partners. This interactive training provides a way of thinking through the stories by using data and working through a health equity lens to mobilize people for collective action.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • provide equity-based guidance and technical assistance to multi-sector community health coalitions across South Carolina
  • use collective impact to identify mutually reinforcing improvement actions to achieve equity
  • ensure active engagement of those with lived experience at all levels of collective health improvement decision-making and action
  • build capacity to think through the stories by using data and working through a health equity lens to mobilize people for collective action
  • identify areas where their case making could be leveraged to strengthen public support using evidence-based strategies
  • describe methods of using data to build public support for population health programs and health system transformation
  • be able to develop traditional media and social media marketing goals and objectives for their organizations
  • gain the ability to effectively use a variety of communication tools to break down the traditional barriers toward health equity
