Description: The Clinical Hypertension Specialist is a developing credential that is incorporated in the management of hypertension guidelines and recommendations, specifically for difficult to treat patients with elevated blood pressure. While the designation is designed for the primary care practitioner, the qualifications and specific functions remain poorly understood by clinicians. This SCHOOLS presentation will describe the process to becoming a hypertension specialist and will describe the clinical need and the impact of clinical hypertension specialists on the primary care system of care.
