Description
Participants will explore several types of clinical and non-clinical health career options and analyze their own personal characteristics to see which career options may be a good fit. This course includes assignments and evaluation. This program addresses South Carolina High School State Standards from the following Health Science Pathways and Human Services Courses: Health Science 1-5550 Foundations of Healthcare Professions, Family and Consumer Sciences-1 (FACS-1), Family and Consumer Sciences-2 (FACS-2), Financial Fitness, and Mental Health Fitness.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe some of the skills needed to achieve success in health careers
  • Identify personal characteristics that may indicate which health career(s) would be a good fit
