Description
Participants will explore several types of clinical and non-clinical health career options and analyze their own personal characteristics to see which career options may be a good fit. This course includes assignments and evaluation. The module objectives are aligned to the following SC Health Science 1 Standard: Foundation of Healthcare Professions Standard 4: Employability Skills: Use employability skills to enhance employment opportunities and job satisfaction. 4.1.1 Identify personal traits and attitudes desirable in a career ready member of a health team. 4.5 Research levels of education, credentialing requirements, and employment trends in health professions.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe some of the skills needed to achieve success in health careers
  • Identify personal characteristics that may indicate which health career(s) would be a good fit
