Description
Participants will learn about the risk of bloodborne pathogens in the healthcare field along with prevention strategies. This course includes a pre-test, assignment, post-test and evaluation. This program addresses South Carolina High School State Standards from the following Human Services Courses: Family and Consumer Sciences-1 (FACS-1), Family and Consumer Sciences-2 (FACS-2), and Mental Health Fitness.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define bloodborne pathogens.
  • Explain the occupational standards related to bloodborne pathogens.
