Description
Participants will learn about the importance of being financially secure while achieving a health professions education. This course includes a pre-test, assignments, post-test and evaluation. The module objectives are aligned to South Carolina High School State Standards from the following Human Services Courses: Family and Consumer Sciences-1 (FACS-1), Family and Consumer Sciences-2 (FACS-2), Financial Fitness, and Mental Health Fitness. This module is also aligned to the 2019 SC College and Career Readiness Standard 2: EPF.2. IP for the Economics and Personal Finance course.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand key components of financial literacy
  • Develop a plan to help secure financial assistance for health professions education
