Description
Participants will learn how to provide a summary of their skills, abilities and accomplishments through a well-written resume and cover letter. This course includes a pre-test, assignment, post-test and evaluation. The module objectives are aligned to the following SC Health Science 2 Standard: Foundation of Healthcare Professions Standard 4: Employability Skill: Use employability skills to enhance employment opportunities and job satisfaction. 4.1.b Develop and expand components of a personal portfolio (letter of introduction, resume, healthcare project, writing sample, work-based learning, oral presentation, service learning, credentials, technology, and leadership experience).
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the essential components of a resume.
  • Develop a resume for application to a health professions education program.
