Description
This program will discuss hormonal contraceptive selection.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate patient-specific criteria prior to the initiation of contraception as required by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
  • Use the CDC Medical Eligibility Criteria to identify the most appropriate contraceptive agent or agents to select for a patient.
  • Recommend appropriate management of common contraceptive problems such as adverse effects and missed dosages.
