Description
Participants will learn about the importance of considering workforce data when planning for your career in healthcare. This course includes a pre-test, assignments, post-test and evaluation. This program addresses South Carolina High School State Standards from the following Health Science Pathways and Human Services Courses: Health Science 1-5550 Foundations of Healthcare Professions, Family and Consumer Sciences-1 (FACS-1), Family and Consumer Sciences-2 (FACS-2), Financial Fitness, and Mental Health Fitness.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze the current health workforce trends and needs.
  • Identify strategies to be a competitive health professions applicant.
