This course will explore contemporary issues in social work ethics. As part of the course, participants will learn about the overall conceptual framework of ethics, ethical standards connected to social work practice, and implications for maintaining ethical standards in a world of rapid and evolving technology. This synchronous, online webinar will include standard lecture/presentation, case studies, and active class discussion.

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the concept of ethics and the implications in terms of professional standards.
  • Analyze ethical standards that inform professional work with clients.
  • Identify ethical dilemmas that intersect with rapidly advancing technology.
