Description
The American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Children and Adolescent Psychiatry encourages a parenting focus when working with youth. This course was developed to help fellow clinicians grow their knowledge base on ADHD, the reasons for a family-based approach and guide them on strategies to help incorporate families into the clinical space.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Review ADHD.
  • Discuss reasons for needing a family-based approach to therapy.
  • Identify options for assessing skills.
  • Explore strategies for building executive functioning skills along with family relationships in effort to improve functioning skills.
