Description
Participants will learn about the elements of professionalism, including communication and demeanor. This course includes a pre-test, assignment, post-test and evaluation. This program addresses South Carolina High School State Standards from the following Health Science Pathways and Human Services Courses: Health Science 1-5550 Foundations of Healthcare Professions, Healthcare Science 2 - 5551 Essential Healthcare Practices, Family and Consumer Sciences-1 (FACS-1), Family and Consumer Sciences-2 (FACS-2), Financial Fitness, and Mental Health Fitness.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the importance of professionalism in the workplace.
  • Summarize professional standards for a health care work environment.
  • Identify characteristics of professionalism in the healthcare setting.
