Description
This is part 1 of a 3 part series. All 3 courses must be completed in order to obtain your certificate. Directed primarily at the acute care therapist, this course covers information relating to the acutely postoperative orthopedic or neurosurgical population. Course content integrates the latest research including content and conceptual knowledge of the role of enhanced recovery pathways and the management of pain, acute compartment syndrome, dural tears, bone health, blood glucose levels, safe mobility, spinal hardware fractures, and hip abduction braces. Post examination following each module will require the learner to analyze, synthesize, apply material learned, and clinically reason through case studies and scenarios.
