Description
Join us for a session where we learn about the importance of antimicrobial stewardship and how all members of the healthcare team are needed to ensure that our patients understand this important issue. The clinical background of this topic will be explained as well as practical approaches that can be supported by the entire treatment team. We’ll have a case scenario to explore which will include the social drivers that impact our patients’ health around this issue.

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify practical approaches that can be supported by the entire treatment team in promoting appropriate antimicrobial use
  • Explain the importance of antimicrobial stewardship
  • Apply collaborative problem-solving to address clinical challenges in a patient scenario
