Description
Ethics play a vital role in Social Work clinical practice. In this training we will review basics of social work code of ethics and how they differ from other various codes of ethics. We will review how social work ethics should be referred to and applied in practice among various clinical implications and offer opportunity to discuss previous experiences regarding this. We will discuss how to utilize an ethical framework to resolve ethical dilemmas, the importance of clinical supervision, etc.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the social work code of ethics.
  • Identify how social work ethics can differ from other related codes of ethics.
  • Discuss various clinical implications that impact decision making surround ethics.
  • Discuss ethical frameworks and decision making regarding ethical dilemmas
