Description
Students will participate in an interactive Health Careers Academy Escape Room. This engaging, hands-on career exploration experience will introduce students to a variety of healthcare professions, including many careers that are essential to patient care but are often less recognized. Working in teams, students will solve healthcare-themed clues, complete challenges, and unlock puzzles that reveal information about different healthcare career pathways. Throughout the activity, students will discover the education requirements, job responsibilities, skills, and impact of professionals working behind the scenes and on the front lines of healthcare. This interactive experience promotes critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and awareness while helping students explore future opportunities in the healthcare workforce.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify healthcare careers that align with my individual career goals and aspirations.
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of three healthcare careers.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills through participation in escape room challenges.
