Description
The Spartanburg High School students will have a Healthcare Careers Exploration Experience, an interactive career exposure program designed to introduce students to the wide range of opportunities within the healthcare field. Through a healthcare career panel, hands-on learning activities, simulation experiences, and facility tours at Pelham Medical Center, students gain firsthand insight into healthcare professions, educational pathways, and the skills needed for success. The program encourages career exploration, professional networking, and a deeper understanding of the healthcare industry while inspiring future healthcare professionals.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify at least three healthcare careers and describe the education, training, and responsibilities associated with each profession.
  • Participate in hands-on learning experiences, including clinical skills demonstrations and simulation-based activities.
  • Explore hospital and clinical environments to gain a better understanding of patient care and healthcare operations.
