Description
Students work in healthcare teams to assess, diagnose, and stabilize a simulated patient while learning critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and nursing skills.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify abnormal patient findings and determine when immediate medical intervention is needed.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to analyze patient symptoms and make healthcare decisions based on assessment data.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills using healthcare team communication principles during a simulated patient emergency.
