Description
Welcome to the Choose Well: Contraception for the Postpartum Patient module. This module is the second of six modules available discussing contraception prescribing with different type of patient populations. CME Reviewed and revised – March 26, 2021 Released – March 26, 2021 Expiration - March 26, 2024
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define the postpartum period and what is unique regarding fertility and contraception management during this time.
  • Discuss breastfeeding and contraception.
  • Describe why, when and how to screen for post party depression.
  • Explain the STEPS method for choosing a contraception method.
  • Discuss postpartum LARC.
