Description
Participants will learn about the responsibilities of provider and patient sites and how to "present" the patient during a telehealth examination. This course includes a post-test and evaluation.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define telehealth and telemedicine
  • Describe benefits and challenges associated with telehealth
  • Define the presenting/patient site and provider site
  • Define the roles and responsibilities of the telehealth team at the presenting/patient and provider site
  • Define appropriate video etiquette for the telehealth presenter
  • Describe steps for a live telehealth encounter
  • Demonstrate knowledge for safe use of telehealth equipment
