Come learn how to convene a successful behavioral health coalition and discuss ways to improve your community’s efforts.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define community coalition.
  • Identify who should participate.
  • Discuss how to structure meetings as well as common priorities.

The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) is a multi-year initiative supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to address barriers to access in rural communities related to substance use disorder, including opioid use disorder. Conflict of Interest Statement Planners, Faculty and content specialists must disclose any conflicts of interest and will inform the audience of any such conflicts prior to beginning their presentation. In order to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor at all programs, the planners/faculty must make full disclosure indicating any relationship with pharmaceutical companies, biomedical device manufacturers and/or corporations whose products or services are related to pertinent therapeutic area. Commercial Support Participants will be made aware of any commercial support by information provided with handouts. Exhibitors and any promotional information will be kept separate from the education activity. Non-Endorsement of Products Neither Lowcountry AHEC nor the American Nurses Credentialing Center endorses or approves any products that may be associated with this continuing education activity.
