Description
Many of those we serve have experienced significant trauma in their lives. Trauma Informed Care is a means of insuring we "do no harm" in working with those who have been wounded while demonstrating what is effective in working with them. Creating a culture of trauma-informed care provides a lens through which we can evaluate our own programs and services to ensure they support healing in those impacted by trauma. This training will evaluate the principles within our places of service.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define Trauma.
  • Explain Trauma-Informed Care Principles.
