Description
Join us this month as we explore CHWs role in Latino communities and activating equity! We will work to understand South Carolina Latino population. There will be time to connect, learn, and share experiences concerning Spanish speaking community members. Lastly, we will engage with other CHWs and learn best practices, tips and strategies for reaching and connecting with Spanish speaking families.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • identify characteristics specific to South Carolina’s Latino population, including demographics, culture, history and identities.
  • discuss personal and professional experiences with Spanish speaking community members.
  • apply best practices for connecting with Spanish speaking families.
