Description
This course provides a comprehensive review of emergency nursing concepts to help participants prepare for the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN®) certification exam. Through focused lectures, visual learning resources, and practice questions, participants will review key content areas covered on the CEN exam. In addition to strengthening foundational emergency nursing knowledge, the course emphasizes effective test-taking strategies, question interpretation, and identification of areas for further study to support participants as they work toward CEN certification. 8:00am - 5:00pm (Both Days)

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate readiness for the CEN examination through application of clinical knowledge and test-taking strategies.
  • Apply emergency nursing principles to patient care scenarios representative of the CEN examination.
  • Review professional issues, including legal and regulatory guidelines, ethics, patient education, and disaster preparedness.
  • Review the assessment and management of cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, obstetrical, medical, musculoskeletal, integumentary, toxicological, environmental, mental health, and trauma emergencies.
