Description
Heartbreak & Hormones is a trauma-informed workshop that explores how relational loss impacts the nervous system, hormonal regulation, and emotional identity. Through a blend of psychoeducation, attachment theory, somatic principles, and reflective practice, clinicians will learn how to help clients understand their symptoms, normalize emotional collapse, and rebuild internal safety. This training provides practical tools, clinical language, and regulation strategies that support stabilization, identity reconstruction, and secure functioning after heartbreak.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how heartbreak impacts the nervous system and hormonal regulation.
  • Identify the biological, psychological, and spiritual components of emotional collapse.
  • Explain the roles of cortisol, oxytocin, and attachment in post-breakup dysregulation.
  • Apply regulation and ritual-based strategies to support emotional stabilization.
  • Integrate faith-centered practices that promote identity restoration and healing.
