Description
Adoption is a lifelong experience that can bring profound connection and opportunity, while also involving complex feelings of loss. The Seven Core Issues framework developed by Deborah Silverstein and Sharon Kaplan Roszia provides a valuable lens for understanding these experiences and their impact across the adoption constellation.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and describe the Seven Core Issues in Adoption.
  • Recognize how adoption-related experiences can influence emotional, relational, and behavioral functioning.
  • Apply the Seven Core Issues framework to clinical practice.
