Description
Participants will receive a brief overview of Telehealth in South Carolina, including history, terminology, and future directions. This course was updated in July 2022 and includes a post-test and evaluation.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss how the history of telehealth has contributed to the current application of this technology in healthcare.
  • Describe the modalities of telehealth and clinical applications.
  • Determine how telehealth can improve patient access, increase cost efficiency, and improve quality of care and communication among providers.
  • Identify ways interprofessional teams can collaborate across technology and distance by utilizing telehealth.
