Description
Join us for a discussion on how Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is evolving to meet the changing healthcare needs of South Carolina communities. This session will highlight innovative EMS models, workforce development initiatives, and community-based services that are expanding access to care and improving health outcomes. Participants will learn how partnerships among EMS agencies, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and community stakeholders are helping strengthen the EMS workforce and support the integration of EMS within the broader healthcare system.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe emerging EMS models and innovations addressing healthcare access and population health needs in South Carolina.
  • Identify EMS partnerships, workforce initiatives, and community-based services being implemented across South Carolina.
  • Discuss strategies for integrating EMS services within healthcare systems to improve care coordination and patient outcomes.
