Description
Different clients respond to different techniques as we attempt to assist them in making change. Whether you are a new therapist or have been in the field for many years, there are times when you may feel stuck and are in search of a new set of “tools” in your practice. This workshop will present a variety of tools to use in various situations. The following areas will be our primary focus: relationship issues (parental, marital); getting stuck/perspective concerns; communication concerns (listening, anger, non-assertiveness); general techniques to use in all situations. Join us for this workshop and feel free to bring some of your own ideas to share with participants.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Learn the building blocks of achieving change.
  • Illustrate the role of communication and communication tools in the therapeutic process.
