Description
This training will cover the different categories of drugs of abuse and how "new" drugs are becoming available in the street and what is causing these "new drugs" to become popular. Other factors that are involved in this process include " Cutting agents", how the drugs are used and consumed, and common OTC products that are used for intoxication.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the effects of newer drugs as they become available to the public.
  • Compare the differences between addiction, physical dependence and pseudo-addiction.
  • Identify how seemingly minor changes in a drug can produce dramatic effects.
