Description
This course provides an in-depth exploration of the principles and practices of hospice and palliative care for patients in the hospital setting. Designed for healthcare professionals, it emphasizes a compassionate, patient-centered approach to end-of-life care. Participants will examine the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of caring for dying patients, with a focus on pain and symptom management, effective communication with patients and families, and interdisciplinary teamwork. The course also addresses ethical considerations, cultural sensitivity, and strategies for supporting families through the grieving process. By integrating evidence-based practices and real-world case studies, participants will gain the skills necessary to deliver high-quality, empathetic care to terminally ill patients while fostering a culture of dignity and respect. This course is ideal for nurses, physicians, social workers, and other healthcare providers committed to improving the quality of life for patients and families in their final stages.
