- The South Carolina Health Professions Data Book compiles existing information from a wide variety of sources into a single repository of information about the health status of the population in South Carolina and the number and distribution of healthcare providers actively practicing within the state. Our intention is to provide an easily-accessible resource for the state, county and local planning groups as they address healthcare needs and access issues.
Note: The data book was originally released online in January 2026 and revised online on March 23, 2026 to fix some data errors in the region pages. Data in the printed copies are the same as the updated online version released in March 2026. - Publication Date:
